Summer, once again, is flying by.  I’ve never heard anyone complain about how slow summer passes. This summer has been about transitions.  June was a wet month with little quality time possible at the cabin due to the swampy grounds and ravenous bugs. July has been a month of preparation.  DeeAnn’s house was listed on the market after 42 years of residency.   She’s kept the house in fine shape and after this summer’s extra attention it is fair to rank it immaculate.  Going through the phases of getting your home and heart ready for the sale of a house is a process in itself.  Then once the listing occurs, comes the acceptance of having strangers walk through your home formulating thoughts after spending 30 minutes inside.  Somehow this is to compare in value to those having spent 42 years.

DeeAnn had to switch realtor’s midstream due to a family tragedy occuring with the initial one which removed her from work for an undetermined period of time.  The new realtor, friends with the former, is stepping in nicely.  Naturally the dogs have been a part of the conversation, both from a selling and a buying standpoint.  The house will be shown with dog kennels and toy baskets in place.  There is no glossing over the fact dogs have been in the home, instead being a part of the selling point.  Having a dog herself, she is in a state of wonderment on how a home can be so clean and smell so good with dogs living there.

Transitions are necessary and occur inevitably, whether by choice or not.  Our dogs go through a continuous string of transitions, entrusting us to take them through the day in a safe and secure manner.  Stack them together and it produces a full life of lessons and experiences, as is demonstrated by this blog alone!

We continue to ready ourselves for the next phase, much of what is unknown.  Together we know we have to trust the process –  all will turn out!   We just have to watch Rainie, Keltie, Holly, Helen and Gracie as our role models each day –  trust you are safe and that all will be well!

Having Holly’s eyes to look into help too!
