We were gifted with a visit from Maria & Keith today. They are friends who moved to Florida about a year ago, and are sorely missed. Maria cut both DeeAnn and my hair and I could not get through the visit without asking if she had brought her scissors. She laughed and said she had brought her scissors, her mother was asking for a haircut. I didn’t press it, but wanted to.
Part of the visit was spent outside with the dogs. Their dog, Finn, has spent time with Holly playing in the backyard; and had many visits at DeeAnn’s house while she petsat for them. It was so fun to see Maria & Keith again but it also had me feeling lonesome for Finn.
Lana stopped by today. She had a new scarf for Holly – one sporting the Minnesota Twins! It wasn’t game time when I put it on her, that may be why she had such a sour look on her face.
Holly had dog school today, a bit hungover from the fun weekend. I fielded the embarrassment for her, as I was the one teased for having a dog sound asleep on the floor at Rally Class. Her motivation to perform was nil. Treats helped but it was apparent it was only the treats that interested her. She & I knew the fatigue was well worth it. For us it was a well earned badge! School is overrated!
